College Prep

College Level Courses

WCS truly differentiates itself with the number of college credit courses that are offered to our juniors and seniors. Over the past few years these programs have increased and now include the following:

Pre-Calculus

Calculus

Psychology

Statistics (MCC MTH160)

Economics (MCC ECO101)

Business Management (MCC BUS104)

Personal Finance (MCC ECO103)

We are also approved for Accounting (MCC ACC101) and Entrepreneurial Studies (MCC BUS110) courses through MCC dual enrollment as well.

The Statistics, Business, Economics and Personal Finance classes are offered in conjunction with Monroe Community College to be used for transferrable collegiate credit.

Offering these programs provides students with a jump start on their college career during high school which saves significant tuition expenses and can enable them to complete their college work in a shorter period of time. Students graduating from WCS are equipped to enter any profession of interest and college or university.

College Fair

Each year WCS hosts a College Fair in October where the High School students are able to meet with 20 - 25 Christian College Representatives to discuss programs of interest, academic requirements, athletic programs, scholarships, and many additional items. Along with this we also host a Financial Aid Information Night for parents to discuss options with a representative from a local university.

A partial list of schools that graduates have attended include: Roberts Weslyan, Houghton, Wheaton, Liberty, Cedarville, Geneva, Cornerstone, Grove City, Baptist Bible, Pensacola, and Bryan. In addition, many of our graduates have matriculated at such outstanding secular colleges and universities as Harvard, Syracuse, Clemson, Buffalo State, Columbia, R.I.T., Chicago, Rochester, Michigan and Virginia Tech.
