| Admissions
The admissions committee seeks to enroll
students who display Christian integrity and are intelligent, talented and committed
to achieving a quality education within a Christian environment. The admission
process is designed to enable WCHS to select those students who will both contribute
to and benefit from this type of community. Christian peer relationships are nurtured
and strengthened through leadership opportunities in student government, chapels,
and music programs. Students earn distinction in the National Honor Society. The yearbook committee and clubs also provide creative outlets for students. Advisory
services are available to help students make the important decisions regarding
college and career by focusing their attention on discerning God's leadership
in their lives

College Placement
It is one of our highest goals
here at WCHS that our students are excited and prepared to pursue a higher education.
We encourage our young people to seek the future God has for them. We assist each
student with their college search through the use of the state of the art Hobson
college and scholarship search program. In addition, our guidance coordinator
assists in such areas as scholarship applications, recommendations, transcripts,
PLAN and PSAT testing. WCHS annually invites admission and financial aid representatives
from several colleges as well as the armed services to share information with
our students through presentations and interviews. During their junior and senior
years many students take authorized college trips to visit various colleges and
universities. This greatly aids them in this tough decision process. Our
college acceptance rates are 85-90%, annually. For the first 25 years 80-90%
of our WCHS graduates have pursued further education at many top Christian colleges,
such as Roberts Weslyan, Houghton, Wheaton, Liberty, Cedarville, Geneva, Cornerstone,
Grove City, Baptist Bible, Pensacola, and Bryan. In addition, many of our graduates
have matriculated at such outstanding secular colleges and universities as Harvard,
Syracuse, Clemson, Buffalo State, Columbia, R.I.T., Chicago, Rochester, Michigan
and Virginia Tech. For a complete listing of colleges please click here.
