You want competitive sports? We've got it
here at WCS! The Warriors compete in NY State Section V Division D. The athletic
program is composed of dedicated athletes, experienced coaches and fine facilities
with the exciting addition of the new gymnasium and locker rooms in the spring
of 2000. WCS offers athletic opportunities for all students in grades 6
through 12. We offer competitive sports in soccer, basketball, baseball, and cheerleading.
We also offer club sports - girls' softball, tennis, running, and skiing.
Home School Families
Starting in 1999, Webster Christian School has offered a tailored academic program to home school families where the students desire to play Section V sports, or to provide academic programs to assist the home in the education of their children. Over these many years we have been blessed to welcome many, many home schooled students into the halls of WCS where they have made a profound impact on the entire school. Sports That Develop Character
Here at
WCS, athletics are viewed as a great way to have fun and enjoy the school experience.
Students get the chance to take a break from class work at the end of the day
and develop their athletic skills, as well as their character. Though winning
is a goal of competitive sports our coaches strive to make that secondary to the
development of team unity, sportsmanship, perseverance and friendships. Emphasis
is placed on the importance of representing Christ in our attitudes and ultimately
in the way we play against our competitors.
New Soccer Fields
The new soccer complex, complete with new varsity and modified socer fields, has just opened for the beginning of practice for the 2008 soccer season. We are fortunate to have this new soccer complex and have long term plans to add improvements each year.
